A 25-year-old apprentice, Wisdom Azubuike, has been arrested for “belong” to a syndicate, which is said to specialise in using ‘master keys’ to open vehicles and stealing items found in the vehicles.

The suspect, a native of Obokwu Obidi in the Oguta area of Imo State, told Northern City News that he was an apprentice drug vendor, adding that a friend, Christopher, introduced him to the crime when he informed him that he needed money to set up a patent medicine store.

He said, “Christopher gave me a phone number in Onitsha and when I called the fellow, who I eventually met at the Onitsha Central Motor Park, he introduced me to this business and suggested that I should operate in Katsina.
